One structured curriculum for special and inclusive schools

Printable, ability-based curriculum that special schools, inclusive schools and resource rooms can use across classrooms. Each learner works at their own level in each subject, while teachers, shadow teachers and families follow the same clear structure.

Can special and inclusive schools use Able Marga?

Yes. Able Marga gives schools one consistent curriculum structure across four subjects: Life Skills, Functional Maths, Functional English and Social & Communication. Learners are placed by current ability in each subject, so a mixed-ability class can follow the same routine at different levels. Every unit has a pre-check and post-check for progress records, adult notes that shadow teachers and aides can follow, and pages that can go home for practice.

Designed around the learner

Six reasons schools choose Able Marga

Schools need more than good worksheets. They need a structure every teacher can follow, that works across ability levels and shows progress over the year.

One structure across classrooms

Every unit follows the same four-week rhythm, so teachers, shadow teachers and resource-room staff all work the same way.

Differentiation built in

Learners are placed by ability in each subject, so one class can run the same routine at different levels without separate plans.

Usable by every adult

Plain-language adult notes mean shadow teachers, aides and new staff can deliver sessions consistently.

Progress records for reviews

A pre-check and post-check in every unit give simple evidence of change for IEP reviews and parent meetings.

Home and school in step

The same pages and pictures can go home, so families practise exactly what is taught in class.

Low preparation

Print-ready pages with one concept each keep preparation time short for busy classrooms.

Where to start

Match each subject to your school’s programmes

Schools often start with one subject in one classroom, then extend across the school once staff are comfortable with the routine.

How schools roll it out across classrooms

A simple rollout keeps staff confident and makes progress easy to review each term.

  1. Place each learner by subject

Use the Placement Guide to choose a starting level in each subject for every learner.

  2. Group by level, not age

Learners at the same level can share a session, whatever their age or class.

  3. Record the pre-check

Use each unit’s pre-check as the learner’s baseline for that skill.

  4. Follow the four-week rhythm

Errorless start, guided practice, real objects, then show what you know, in every classroom.

  5. Send practice home

Share the unit’s pages with families so practice continues after school.

  6. Review at term meetings

Compare post-checks with pre-checks at IEP reviews and parent meetings.

Start small. Pilot one subject in one classroom for a term, then extend it across the school once staff are comfortable with the routine.

To be clear

What Able Marga is not

  • It does not replace the professional judgement of your teachers, therapists or IEP team.
  • It is not a board syllabus or exam-preparation course. It teaches functional, real-life skills.
  • It is not a standardised assessment. Pre-checks and post-checks are informal progress records.

Use it within your school’s own IEP, assessment and reporting framework.

Why it exists

Built by a parent who needed it first

Able Marga began with SP’s search for a respectful, structured way to help her autistic son learn. Years of working with children and adults with autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability and other developmental differences shaped the curriculum, and it is refined through daily use at So-Hum Special School in India.

“My goal is simple: to create an ecosystem where families have choices for their special needs, for them to lead a fully functional and fulfilling life beyond traditional academics.”SP, founder of Able Marga
Questions parents ask

Schools and Able Marga: your questions answered

Practical answers for school leaders, coordinators and special educators.

Can special and inclusive schools use Able Marga?

Yes. It gives schools one consistent structure across four functional subjects, with learners placed by ability in each. It suits special schools, inclusive schools with resource rooms, and classrooms with shadow teachers.

Does it work in a mixed-ability classroom?

Yes. Every unit follows the same routine, so learners at different levels can work side by side, and learners at the same level can be grouped together whatever their age.

Can shadow teachers and aides use it?

Yes. Each unit has plain-language adult notes and a simple prompt order, so shadow teachers, aides and new staff can deliver sessions consistently without specialist training.

Can it support IEP goals and reviews?

Yes. Each unit has a pre-check and post-check on the same skill, giving simple evidence of progress for IEP reviews and parent meetings. It works within your school’s own IEP framework rather than replacing it.

Is it aligned to CBSE, state boards or NIOS?

It is not tied to one board. Able Marga teaches functional skills by ability level, so it can be used alongside CBSE, state-board, NIOS or special-school programmes.

Can one purchase be used across the whole school?

Use in a class, resource room or across a school depends on the licence. Contact Able Marga with the number of classrooms, educators and learners, and the team will confirm the right licence and any school purchasing options.

How should a school get started?

Start with one subject in one classroom for a term. Place learners with the Placement Guide, record the pre-checks, follow the four-week rhythm, and review post-checks at the end of term before extending.

Can families practise at home too?

Yes. Pages can be shared with families so the same skill, words and pictures are practised at home, which helps learners generalise what they learn in class.

How much does it cost, and can we try it first?

Each Level 1 subject costs ₹999, or ₹1,999 for all four subjects, for individual use. There is a free sample for every subject. For classroom or school-wide use, contact Able Marga about the right licence.

Can schools outside India use it?

Yes. Everything is a digital PDF you can download and print anywhere, and the Indian context is especially useful for schools serving Indian and NRI families.
