01

How to choose a subject

Start with the skill used most in daily life: routines and independence, practical maths, picture-based English, or social communication. A learner can use more than one subject at the same time.

02

How to choose a level

Choose by functional ability—not age, school class or diagnosis. Begin where the learner can respond successfully with pointing, matching, circling, placing a card, speech or AAC.

Activity Books FAQ

How is an Activity Book different from the curriculum?+
An Activity Book gives guided practice around one theme or skill. The curriculum follows a broader sequenced subject-and-level pathway.
Is Level 1 suitable for a non-verbal child?+
Yes. Level 1 allows responses through pointing, matching, placing a card, signs, speech or AAC. Independent speech is not required.
Does the learner need to read or write?+
No. Level 1 begins with picture-based and receptive tasks. Reading or handwriting is not compulsory unless a product explicitly states otherwise.
Can therapists and schools use these materials?+
Yes. Parents, therapists, special educators and schools can use the resources according to the licence supplied with the product.
How do I choose the correct level?+
Use the Placement Guide and choose by current functional ability, not age or school class. Different subjects can be at different levels.
Can I buy individual units?+
Where listed, you can buy an individual unit, complete level set or bundle. Available choices are shown as real WooCommerce products only.
How is the PDF delivered?+
After successful payment, live downloadable products are available in the WooCommerce order email and My Account downloads area.
