How to choose a subject

Start with the skill used most in daily life: routines and independence, practical maths, picture-based English, or social communication. A learner can use more than one subject at the same time.

02

How to choose a level

Choose by functional ability—not age, school class or diagnosis. Begin where the learner can respond successfully with pointing, matching, circling, placing a card, speech or AAC.
